OFFENSE

MVP – Trae Taylor | MIllard South | 6’3/200 (Committed to Nebraska)

QB – Braylen Warren | Omaha Westside | 6’1/200

• Warren has thrown for 3,969 yards and 57 touchdowns over his entire career and is SEC bound. While operating the controls of the Omaha Westside offense, Warren has a 23-3 record as a starter and enters the season committed to Missouri. Warren has thrown for 3,969 career passing yards and 57 touchdowns.

RB – Kylonn Haynie | Millard North | 5’10/200

• At Omaha Central last season, Haynie rushed for 730 yards and nine touchdowns. Heading into his senior season at Millard North, Haynie holds five Power 4 offers. If Millard North puts its mind to it in 2026, Haynie could have a huge statistical season to prove his value as a blue-chip prospect. .

RB – Tay Tay Jenkins | Omaha Westside | 5’8/175

• Don’t blink – you may miss Jenkins flying down the sidelines. Over the past two seasons, Jenkins has rushed for 3,859 yards and 50 touchdowns while catching 30 passes for 546 yards and seven scores. As a junior earning First Team All-State honors according to the Omaha World-Herald, Jenkins rushed for 1,866 yards and 28 touchdowns.

WR – Antayvious Ellis | Millard South | 6’1/180

• More commonly known as “Tre” to the recruiting world, Ellis will also make the move to Millard South from another state as a Nebraska pledge like Taylor. Over a highly-productive three year career at Crowley in the Fort Worth area, Ellis caught 156 passes for 2,310 yards and 27 touchdowns. Ellis had more than 700 receiving yards all three years in Texas.

WR – Bryce Johnson Jr. | Omaha Westside | 6’0/170

• Johnson Jr. exploded onto the scene as a junior at Bellevue West. Johnson Jr. caught 43 passes for 974 yards and nine touchdowns as the key target in the offense. The addition of Johnson Jr. and Omaha Central junior transfer Yasir Grixby are a great start to replacing a loaded receiver room lost to graduation. Johnson Jr. committed to North Dakota over the summer months.

WR – Drew Meyer | Elkhorn North | 6’5/205 (Jr.)

• As a junior on a Class B quarterfinalist, Meyer had a breakout campaign. Meyer caught 35 passes for 644 yards and eight touchdowns as an all out wide receiver. His future may be at the tight end position, but for now Meyer has produced fantastic tape and is one to watch with a bright future as the Wolves transition to Class A. The tape checks out.

ATH – Wyatt Frey | Lawrence-Nelson | 6’5/220

• The Northwestern commit will operate as a battering ram from the quarterback position for Lawrence-Nelson this season, who will be in the newly formed Class D-3. Over the past two seasons, Frey has rushed for 2,849 yards and 46 touchdowns, thrown for 2,083 yards and 27 scores, and recorded 190 tackles and seven interceptions at linebacker. Frey is a projected tight end at the next level.

OL – Gerrit DeWaard | Malcolm | 6’8/300 (Jr.)

• A random exploration of Hudl in October revealed a “Who is that guy” moment with DeWaard. From the first 30 seconds of his tape, you could tell this was a big-time prospect in waiting. Just months later, DeWaard held four Big 10 offers and a SEC offer from Missouri. The Class of 2028 in Nebraska is highly rated at offensive line and DeWaard is one of the reasons why.

OL – Mattthew Erickson | Millard North | 6’8/315

• If there is ever a case of a prospect being anointed to play football at Nebraska, it is probably Erickson. A legacy commit, Erickson has been steadily growing into his body and has definitely put in the work to be successful at the next level. He will anchor the Mustangs line this season paving the way for Haynie and others.

OL – Barrett Kitrell | Ashland-Greenwood | 6’4/280

• Kitrell played his way onto the FBS radar with fantastic tape over the past two seasons for Ashland-Greenwood. Kitrell chose to commit to Nebraska over offers from Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, and Tennessee. Kitrell was also a key contributor on the Class C-1 state champion basketball team in 2026.

OL – Justin Parish Jr. | Omaha Westside | 6’4/280 (Jr.)

• For now if you are searching for the very top overall prospect in the Class of 2028 from the state of Nebraska, Parish Jr. might be your guy. Parish Jr. dominated from his right tackle position last season on a Class A semifinalist. Parish Jr. holds offers from three Big 10 schools including Iowa and Nebraska, Missouri, Tennessee, and a pair of Big 12 schools.

OL – Bryce Vigness | Papillion-La Vista | 6’4/290

• Vigness could have left Papillion-La Vista multiple times in recent seasons only to stick it out with the Monarchs. A prospect who has committed to North Dakota State as it transitions into Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) play for the 2026 season, Vigness also averaged 9.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game on the hardwood during the winter months.

K – Evan Greenfield | Norris | 6’2/180

• A multi-faceted athlete over his career thus far, Greenfield does a lot of things well. Greenfield threw for 1,515 yards and 20 scores as a junior, adding 428 more yards and six touchdowns on the ground. Greenfield was 5-for-7 on field goals with a long of 47 and connected on all 60 of his point after attempts in 2025.
