“Unofficial.”
Being unofficial gives you some leeway. Submission forms did not necessarily go out to head coaches in the state, but please believe due diligence was done in determining the final list. Postseason tape was the separator of many decisions, and naturally the lower the classification the harder tape was to come by.
Continuing to be out of sight and out of mind to coaches has been a burden. Always felt like they have better things to do than DM somebody like me. 2026 will see changes in this department.
The Elite 33 has been dropped. It didn’t make a ton of sense to others. It made sense to me, but it was probably too many names for an All-State list, albeit it “unofficially.” When tape was available, the list is usually talent driven. Many coaches in the state don’t even know this account exists.
