Comments: Millard South’s forfeit in Week 1 to Arbor View (NV) does not matter much. The defending state champion Patriots have outscored their Top 10 opponents 137-0 over the last eight quarters. Don’t look at the stats when putting MIllard South prospects on your All-State lists. The first team won’t play much beyond halftime this season. Omaha Westside is the closest to stepping into a one-team Tier 1 in Class A. Tier 3 begins with Omaha North, who picked up a huge road win at No. 5 Omaha Central and hangs on at No. 3. Papillion-La Vista South is a solid entrant at No. 8 with a rejuvenated and explosive offense.

Comments: As you were from Week 2. It did not make sense to drop McCook out of the Top 10 after a loss to the No. 2 team in Class B. Everybody else in the Top 10 won. Two Top 10 matchups are coming in Week 4 with top-ranked Elkhorn North hosting No. 7 Gretna, while No. 3 Scottsbluff will travel to No. 9 Seward.

Comments: The Top Performers for Eight and Six Man will be combined with the 11-Man Top Performers from here on out due to lack of readership. Crofton picked up a huge 38-26 win over No. 9 Plainview (Would also like to apologize for having the wrong winner on the website). No. 5 Thayer Central travel to No. 8 Sutton, while No. 6 Bloomfield will pay a visit to No. 7 Crofton in the top D-2 games of Week 4. In Class D-1, 12 teams remain unbeaten.

Comments: A two-point loss to top-ranked Archangels Catholic is not enough to drop No. 3 Wynot down in the rankings. One of the bigger surprises of the season has been No. 9 Anselmo-Merna, who keeps rolling heading into a high-anticipated Week 4 matchup with defending state champion Central Valley. No. 5 Central Valley has given up six points in three wins this season. There are currently 12 remaining unbeaten teams in Class D-2.

In a game added to the schedule after schedules were loaded into MaxPreps, No. 1 Stuart will now travel 263 miles to No. 2 Garden County. Defending champions Stuart already own two wins after teams in the top 5 this season (No. 3 S-E-M in Week 2 and No. 5 Silver Lake last week.
