Rosters for the 48th Annual Sertoma Nebraska Eight Man All-Star Game have been released. The game is scheduled to take place at Lloyd Wilson Field on the campus of Hastings College on June 21, 2025 at 6:00 PM.

Rusty Fuller of Hartington-Newcastle will be the head coach of the East team. Zach Kubik of Shelby-Rising City, Jarrod Weiss of McCool Junction, and Hartington-Newcastle’s Mike Johnson will assist Fuller.

For the West squad, Summerland’s Tom Thramer will take the helm. South Loup’s Mat Jaegeler, Cory Valasek of Riverside, and Brett Kaczor of Summerland will also be on the staff for the West.

In 2024, the West squad rolled to 16 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to win the 47th Annual matchup by the score of 24-22. Trey Connell of South Loup was named the Offensive MVP, while Brecken Erickson of North Platte St. Patrick’s took home Defensive MVP honors.

In other Eight Man news on Thursday, Stu Pospisil from the Omaha World-Herald has reported that the Nebraska School Activities Association board voted 5-3 to add a third Eight Man class. If you take the current number of Eight Man programs and divide the number by three, there will be approximately 37-38 schools in each class.
