The 67th Annual Nebraska Shrine Bowl game is slated to take place on June 7 at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium in Kearney. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
Grand Island Northwest coach Kevin Stein has been named the head coach for the North. Stein just led his Vikings to the Class B state playoffs for the 10th consecutive season and produced a Division I signee in the Class of 2024. Stein’s son Joe is currently a tight end at Northern Illinois.
Boys Town head coach Chris Nizzi will take the helm of the South squad. Nizzi led the Cowboys to a 9-2 record in 2024 and a spot in the Class C-1 quarterfinals featuring Kansas State signee Darien Whitaker Jr.
Last year, the South team came away with a 17-10 victory. Gretna’s Isaiah Weber scored two touchdowns and was named Most Valuable Player.
