State Championship Game Pairings

Class A
Omaha Westside (12-0) vs. Millard South (11-1)
Monday, November 25 – 7:15 pm (at Memorial Stadium – Lincoln)

  • The matchup all of the neutrals in the state wanted in Class A. Two-time defending state champion Omaha Westside has won 32 straight games. Millard South is unbeaten against in-state competition. Omaha Westside and Millard South last met in Week 8 of the 2023 season with Westside winning 31-14. Millard South has two Class A state titles in school history. (1995, 2009)

Class B
Bennington (11-1) vs. Omaha Skutt (11-1)
– Tuesday, November 26 – 7:15 pm (at Memorial Stadium – Lincoln)

  • Bennington, winners of 50 of its last 51 games, is searching for a Class B record fourth state championship. Omaha Skutt, who are putting the sky in Skyhawks with its aerial prowess, ended Bennington’s state record winning streak at 46 in Week 8 by the score of 38-30. Omaha Skutt gets another shot at Bennington in the state final after falling last season.

Class C-1
Central City (11-1) vs. Wahoo (12-0)
– Tuesday, November 26 – 2:45 pm (at Memorial Stadium – Lincoln)

  • Central City boldly goes to where no other Bison team has gone before as the Bison are making their first state championship appearance in program history. Wahoo is looking to win its second state title in football after winning it all in 2019. Wahoo finished as runners-up in 2023. Wahoo’s dominance en route to the 2019 state title seems eerily similar to the 2024 campaign.

Class C-2
Norfolk Catholic (12-0) vs. Wahoo Neumann (11-1)
– Tuesday, November 26 – 10:15 am (at Memorial Stadium – Lincoln)

  • Norfolk Catholic has won 38 straight games and the last two Class C-2 state championships while head coach Jeff Bellar has won a state-record 418 games. Nathan Timmerman intercepted two passes and scooped a fumble for a touchdown in the third quarter. Three-time state champion Wahoo Neumann gets to Memorial Stadium for the first time since 2016. The Cavaliers turned away Battle Creek four times inside the 10-yard line in the victory.

Class D-1
Sandy Creek (12-0) vs. Stanton (12-0)
Monday, November 25 – 2:45 pm (at Memorial Stadium – Lincoln)

  • Sandy Creek advances to its first state title game in program history. Stanton has won 25 straight games and are the defending Class D-1 state champions. Stanton also finished as Class C-2 runner-up in 2004.

Class D-2
Riverside (10-2) vs. Central Valley (11-1)
– Monday, November 25 – 10:15 am (at Memorial Stadium – Lincoln)

  • Riverside advances to its first state title game since its merger in 2014. Central Valley is in the state championship game in football for the first time in program history.

Class D-6
Stuart (10-1) vs. Sumner-Eddyville-Miller (11-0)
– Friday, November 22 – 7:00 pm (at UNK Cope Stadium – Kearney)

  • Stuart advances to the state finals for the first time since 2013 in Class D-2. S-E-M returns to the state title game as defending state champions. The two met in Week 2 with S-E-M winning, 36-33.
