Player of the Week
Joseph Kolega | Omaha Skutt | WR/DB/K
– Kolega was a crucial as Omaha Skutt upset three-time defending Class B champion Bennington, snapping its 46-game winning streak. Kolega set school records with 11 receptions for 215 yards in the victory while accounting for three touchdowns (two receiving, one interception return) and a go-ahead field goal after a 97-yard drive lead by Dylan Van Dyke in the fourth quarter. For the season, Kolega has 47 receptions for 1,030 yards and 15 touchdowns for the 7-1 Skyhawks.

Team of the Week
Lincoln Standing Bear
– Lincoln Standing Bear came away with its first win in school history on Thursday night with a 36-24 decision over Lincoln Northwest. The Grizzlies stormed out to a 20-0 halftime lead and held on in the second half after Northwest cut the score to 20-12 at one point in the third quarter.
Vastly underrated junior quarterback Hayden Holdren has fought through adversity this season in an 0-7 start, On Thursday night, it all paid off for the 6-foot-4, 205-pound southpaw. Holdren completed 8 of 11 passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns and added a touchdown run for the Grizzlies. When it comes to Holdren, put on the tape.It’s limited after Standing Bear’s struggles this season, but evidence is there with his big-time arm.
Freshman TE/DL Paul Hart (6’4/200) is a name to watch for the future. Hart scored on a 56-yard fumble return and helped set up a Holdren 1-yard touchdown run with a 40-yard connection.
Standing Bear rounds out its season with a visit to Beatrice (1-7) on Friday night.

Chase Cunningham | Papillion-La Vista South | QB – Cunningham threw for four touchdowns in a 47-8 victory over Omaha Burke. Northern Illinois commit Casey Popish reeled in two of Cunningham’s touchdown strikes for the Titans.
Tay Tay Jenkins | Omaha Westside | RB – Just a sophomore, Jenkins rushed for 244 yards and three touchdowns in a 47-7 victory over Omaha Creighton Prep.
Darion Jones | Omaha North | WR/DB – Jones caught a touchdown pass in a 32-14 win over Bellevue West. On defense, Jones recorded five tackles and intercepted two passes, returning one for a touchdown.
Tony Palmer | South Sioux City | RB – In a 42-22 victory over Lincoln Northeast, Palmer ran for 302 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries to go over 1,000 yards for the season.
Isaac Pamaran | Papillion-La Vista | WR – In a 69-7 victory over Fremont, Pamaran caught seven passes for 184 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Brockston Teply | Lincoln Southwest | QB – The sophomore threw four touchdowns to four different receivers in a 52-0 win over Omaha Buena Vista.
Nelsyn Wheeler | Grand Island | RB – Wheeler needed 12 carries to rush for 197 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-6 win over Bellevue East.

Joseph Andreasen | Lincoln Pius X | RB – Andreasen ran for 183 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-0 win over Beatrice..
Nathan Axmann | Waverly | RB – Axmann pounded his way to 202 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 37 carries in a 28-21 victory over Norris.
Clay Gathye | Gretna | RB – Gathye rushed for 183 yards and four touchdowns in a 51-20 win over Ralston.
Carson Hermann | Gretna East | WR – In a 31-27 loss to Elkhorn North, Herman caught eight passes for 104 yards and three touchdowns.
Kooper Kohl | Hastings | RB/LB – Kohl rushed for a touchdown and hauled an interception back 81 yards to the house in 45-7 victory over Lexington.
Dylan Van Dyke | Omaha Skutt | QB – Van Dyke completed 26 of 46 completions for 352 yards and accounted for three touchdowns (two passing, one rushing) in a 38-30 victory over Bennington. Van Dyke led a 97-yard drive to kick the game-winning field goal.

Alex Doty | SIdney | QB – Doty accounted for 208 yards and four touchdowns (two passing, two rushing) in a 48-14 win over Alliance.
Brady Eichelberger | O’Neill | RB – Eichelberger rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns in a 32-13 win over Columbus Scotus.
Reed Fiscus | Sidney | DB – In a 48-14 win over Alliance, Fiscus intercepted three passes and returned one for a score.
Dominic Roth | Lincoln Christian | RB – Roth ran for 213 yards and three touchdowns in a 30-14 victory over Adams Central.
Noah Shoemaker | Cozad | QB – Shoemaker accounted for 253 yards and five touchdowns (four passing, one rushing) in a 41-0 win over Holdrege.
Derek Tonjes | Ashland-Greenwood | QB- In a 45-14 win over Omaha Brownell-Talbot, Tonjes threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers.
Darien Whitaker Jr. | Boys Town | RB/LB – In a 28-14 win over Omaha Roncalli, Whitaker rushed for 263 yards and four touchdowns.
Parker Zikmund | Central City | QB – Zikmund threw for 206 yards and four touchdowns in a 36-19 win over Broken Bow. Wyatt Dent caught eight passes for 116 yards and two scores to pace the Bison on offense.

Brogan Benes | Boone Central | RB – Benes ran for 231 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-21 victory over Grand Island Central Catholic.
Conor Booth | Wahoo Neumann | RB – Booth rushed for 260 yards and six touchdowns in a 44-24 win over Lincoln Lutheran. Booth is committed to Nebraska.
Dallin Franzlubbers | Arlington | RB – In a 32-10 win over Tekamah-Herman, Franzlubbers ran for 128 yards and three touchdowns.
Braxton Gilnes | Lincoln Lutheran | QB – Glines threw for 322 yards and three touchdowns in a 55-24 loss to Wahoo Neumann. Henry Prokop caught seven passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns in a losing effort.
Beau Rohrich | Wood RIver | RB – Rohrich rushed for 209 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 42-14 win over Superior. Quarterback Madden Brabec accounted for four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) for the Eagles.
Conner Paulsen | South Loup | RB – In a 56-0 win over Arcadia/Loup City, Paulsen rushed for 178 yards and four touchdowns.
Breiton Whitmire | Cedar Catholic | RB – Whitmire rushed for 160 yards and four touchdowns in a 26-23 win over Oakland-Craig.
Jordan Williams | Ord | QB – The sophomore signal caller accounted for 307 yards and six touchdowns (five rushing, one passing) in a 42-14 win over Cross County.

Carter Eickmeier | Shelby-Rising City | RB – Eickmeier rushed for 194 yards and three touchdowns in a 62-28 win over McCool Junction. Sophomore Logan Lindsley hit Dalton Pokorney for three touchdown passes for the Huskies in the rout.
Michael Koenig | Summerland | QB – Koenig accounted for five touchdowns (three rushing, two passing) in a 55-12 win over Elkhorn Valley.
Paydon Rinkol | Twin RIver | RB – Rinkol rushed for 230 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 40-0 win over Humphrey-Linsday. Rinkol finished his season with 1,597 rushing yards and 23 TD’s.
Bodonn Swinney | Madison | QB – Sweeney accounted for 327 yards and four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) in a 58-20 win over Newman Grove/St. Edward.
Nichols Weibert | Bridgeport | QB – Weibert accounted for five touchdowns (three passing, two rushing.

Elijah Bergstrom | Axtell | RB – Bergstrom rushed for 284 yards and four touchdowns in a 60-28 win over Franklin.
Kyle Cox | Sandhills/Thedford | QB – Cox accounted for 265 yards and six touchdowns (four rushing, two passing) in a 76-14 victory over Hyannis.
Adam Denkert | Kenesaw | RB – Denkert ran for 172 yards and four touchdowns in a 66-18 win over Blue Hill while also catching three passes for 99 yards and touchdowns.
Gage Friesen | High Plains | RB – Friesen rushed for 158 yards and four touchdowns in a 65-14 win over Deshler. Friesen also caught a touchdown pass in the victory.
Gage Hedstrom | O’Neill St. Mary’s | QB – Hedstrom accounted for 311 yards and six touchdowns (four passing, two rushing) in a 70-14 win over Neligh-Oakdale.
Kole Jones and Alex Reyes | Maxwell – Jones rushed for 172 yards and four touchdowns while Reyes rushed for 196 yards and three scores in a 58-28 win over Brady.

Christian Torrez | Santee | QB – Torrez completed 20 of 35 passes for 360 yards and six touchdowns while adding 109 yards rushing and two scores in a 54-52 loss to Heartland Lutheran.
Alex Watchorn | Leyton | QB – Watchorn accounted for 356 yards and five touchdowns (four passing, one rushing) in a 46-38 win over South Platte.
