Nebraska HS Football: Week 3 Top Performers

Player of the Week
Kip Brigham | Wahoo | RB
– In a 66-24 victory over Aurora, the junior rushed for 362 yards and seven touchdowns while taking his only reception 26 yards for a touchdown. The eight touchdowns were a Class C-1 state record while seven rushing touchdowns equalled the Class C-1 state record set by two other players. No. 1 Wahoo is for real. Millard South Patriots
Jett Thomalla completed 18 of 24 passes for 374 yards and four touchdowns in a 52-3 win over Kearney. Aamir Hill caught seven passes for 112 yards and a score in the win, while Florida State pledge Chase Loftin hauled in an 81-yard touchdown strike for the Patriots. Junior Gabe Prucha had 92 total yards and four touchdowns – three of which came on the ground. After falling to one of the top teams in Arizona in the opener, Millard South is a team that could get on a serious roll while chasing back-to-back state champions Omaha Westside.

Class A

Mikey Gow | Omaha North | QB – Gow threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-18 win over Omaha Central. Junior Darion Jones hauled in touchdown passes of 69 and 31 yards from Gow to pace the Vikings.

Caden Joneson | North Platte | QB – Joneson ran for 182 yards and a touchdown in a 34-31 win over Norfolk. Alonzo Torrez rushed for three touchdowns for the Bulldogs in the victory.

Ryan Manning | Lincoln East | QB – The junior completed 20 of 37 passes for 295 yards and four touchdowns in a 28-20 win over Grand Island. Landen Lingenfelter caught nine passes for 130 yards and three touchdowns.

Madden Riggs | Elkhorn South | QB – Riggs threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-0 win over Lincoln North Star.

Class B

Edison Knott | Seward | RB – Knott rushed for 134 yards and four touchdowns in a 35-0 win over Lincoln Pius X.

Caejon Suttles | GI Northwest | QB – Suttles threw for four touchdown passes in a 52-14 victory over Lexington. Camden Walker hauled in two touchdown strikes to pace the Vikings offense.

Brock Templar | Blair | RB – In a 55-22 upset win over Gretna, Templar rushed for 266 yards and scored six touchdowns. Templar also added 93 receiving yards for the Bears and recorded 14 tackles on defense.

Alex Uchtman | Elkhorn North | WR – The emerging junior caught two passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-7 win over Ralston.

Dylan Van Dyke | Omaha Skutt | QB – Van Dyke completed 13 of 23 passes for 197 yards and once again tied a school record with four touchdown passes in a 42-7 win over Plattsmouth. Van Dyke also rushed for a touchdown in the victory.

Class C-1

Quinn Bailey | Chadron | RB – Bailey rushed for 263 yards and three touchdowns while adding two receptions for 90 yards and two touchdowns in a 51-6 win over Mitchell. Bailey is averaging 265 yards per game and has 12 total touchdowns this season for the undefeated Cardinals.

Alek Doty | Sidney | QB – Doty accounted for 262 yards and five touchdowns (3 passing, 2 rushing) in a 42-6 win over Holdrege.

Corbin Kyes | Central City | RB – Kyes rushed for 207 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries in a 41-0 win over Minden.

Noah Shoemaker | Cozad | QB – Shoemaker produced 255 yards of offense and accounted for five touchdowns (3 passing, 2 rushing) in a 47-6 win over Ogallala.

Derek Tonjes | Ashland-Greenwood | QB – Tonjes completed 19 of 25 passes for 293 yards and four touchdowns in a 33-14 win over Columbus Scotus. Cal Kissinger caught seven passes for 106 yards and a score to boost the Bluejays.

Class C-2

Braylon Anderson | Oakland-Craig | QB – Anderson completed 13 of 18 passes for 333 yards and three touchdowns while adding two rushing touchdowns in a 49-0 win over Tekamah-Herman. Corbin Guill caught three passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns for the Knights.

Conor Booth | Wahoo Neumann | RB – Booth, a Nebraska pledge, rushed for 277 yards an six touchdowns in a 40-0 win over West Point-Beemer.

Madden Brabec | Wood River | QB – Brabec accounted for four touchdowns (2 passing, 2 rushing) in a 47-15 victory over Faibury.

Braxton Gilnes | Lincoln Lutheran | QB – The junior completed 23 of 33 passes for 285 yards and four touchdowns in a 39-20 win over Doniphan-Trumbull. Fellow junior Trenton Ernst caught 11 passes for 189 yards and two scores for Lincoln Lutheran.

Callen Marshall | Norfolk Catholic | QB – Marshall went 4 of 4 through the air with three completions going for touchdowns in a 62-13 win over North Bend Central. Norfolk Catholic has won 29 straight games.

Greyson Sack | Grand Island Central Catholic | QB – Sack accounted for 281 yards and three touchdowns in a 37-8 victory over Hershey.

Eight Man

Nick Buchholz | Bancroft-Rosalie | QB – Buchholz completed 7 of 10 passes for 307 yards and six touchdowns in a 90-64 win over Neligh-Oakdale. Buchholz also rushed for a pair of touchdowns in the high-scoring victory.

Kyle Cox | Sandhills/Thedford | QB/DB – Cox completed 6 of 8 passes for 177 yards and two scores while picking up 152 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries in a 56-8 win over Burwell.

Hayden Gravatt | Johnson-Brock | RB – Gravatt rushed for 214 yards and three touchdowns in 60-6 win over Southern. Gravatt also caught five passes for 50 yards and two touchdowns for the Eagles.

Cole Heimes | Hartington/Newcastle | QB – In an 82-0 win over Lutheran-Northeast, Heimes accounted for 239 yards and rushed for five touchdowns.

Hudson Hoffman | Boyd County | RB – Hoffman ran for 282 yards and five touchdowns in a 48-38 victory over O’Neill St. Mary’s.

Corbin Hoefer | Neligh-Oakdale | RB – Hoefer accounted for 257 total yards and rushed for five touchdowns in a 90-64 loss to Bancroft-Rosalie.

Brock Jeannoutot | Bloomfield | RB – Jeannoutot rushed for 209 yards and accounted for four touchdowns (3 rushing, 1 receiving) in a 64-6 win over Wakefield.

Michael Koenig and Sam Cheatum | Summerland – Koenig completed 6 of 7 passes for 197 yards and five touchdowns with Sam Cheatum taking all three of his receptions for six points in 52-0 victory over Madison.

Lincoln Konrad | West Holt | QB – Konrad completed 11 of 17 passes for 265 yards and five touchdowns in a 40-38 win over Ainsworth.

Hunter Luther | Howells-Dodge | RB – Luther rushed for 252 yards and four touchdowns in a 64-26 win over Lyons-Decatur Northeast.

Carson McDonald | McCool Junction | QB – McDonald rushed for 378 yards and five touchdowns while going 5 of 11 through the air for 123 yards and a touchdown in a 64-46 victory over Freeman.

Grady Rasmussen | Ravenna | RB – Rasmussen accounted for 212 yards and four touchdowns (3 rushing, 1 receiving) in a 54-6 win over Hi-Line.

Paydon Rinkol | Twin River | RB – Rinkol rushed for 207 yards and five touchdowns in a 56-30 victory over Heartland.

Ethan Shaw | Sandy Creek | QB – Shaw accounted for 308 yards and five touchdowns (3 rushing, 2 passing) in a 71-14 win over Alma.

Sam Souerdyke | Thayer Central | RB/LB – Souerdyke ran for 234 yards and four touchdowns in a 40-36 loss to Nebraska City Lourdes.

Graham Trompke | Loomis | QB – Trompke completed 8 of 10 passes for 2219 yards and four touchdowns in a 54-24 win over Anselmo-Merna. Jace Schukar rushed for three scores to pace the Wolves on offense.

Nikolas Weibert | Bridgeport | QB – Weibert accounted for 414 yards and threw for four touchdowns in a 64-52 win over Sandhills Valley.

Alex Werner and Tate Kvanvig | Mullen – Werner rushed for 189 yards and four touchdowns while Kvanvig added 129 yards on the ground and four scores as Mullen turned away North Central, 63-28.

Six Man

Jackson Bullis | Hampton | RB – Bullis took all four of his carries for touchdowns in a 65-0 win over Harvard.

Hunter Englehart | Red Cloud | RB – Englehart rushed for 145 yards and four touchdowns in a 56-12 win over Diller-Odell.

Maddox Jones | S-E-M | RB – Jones rushed for 195 yards and six touchdowns in a 52-24 victory over Shelton.

Wilsie Lobner | Garden County | RB – Lobner rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns while adding three catches for 78 yards and two receiving touchdowns in a 49-12 win over Medicine Valley.

Dylan Rayner | Hay Springs | RB – Rayner rushed for 173 yards and four touchdown on 10 carries in an 88-53 win over Potter-Dix.
