Jackson Carpenter | Lincoln Southwest | 6’2/185 | WR
On3 Digital Profile
– Carpenter was a major target as Lincoln Southwest made. a run to the Class A quarterfinals. In a run-first offense, Carpenter snagged 14 passes for 324 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 23.1 yards per catch. Carpenter’s tape is worth a look as it appears he has a FBS-level skill set. Northern Iowa was the first to offer Carpenter, with more expected to follow. At the Heartland Athletic Conference meet, Carpenter ran a 10.75 in the 100 meters.
Sebastian Circo | Omaha North | 6’0/170 | QB
On3 Digital Profile
– After missing a few games early on due to injury, Circo eventually won the job and showed wisdom beyond his years at times. Throw his size out of the equation as Circo is a big-time talent worthy of FBS looks. Circo finished his sophomore season with 1,307 yards and 16 touchdowns and will be one of the top quarterbacks in Class A for the next two years. Miami (FL), Ole Miss, and Penn State have offered.
Keynan Cotton | Omaha Westside | 5’11/185 | DB
On3 Digital Profile
– After his move from Papillion-La Vista, Cotton settled in as part of a state championship winning team at Omaha Westside. On offense, Cotton caught 15 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown to provide further depth on a talented unit. As a defensive back, the speedster intercepted two passes. Speed kills with this particular prospect. (Update: On June 7, Iowa State was the first Power 5 to offer Cotton)
Kalvin Janssen | Gretna | 6’4/275 | OL
On3Digital Profile
– With Nebraska-bound Mason Goldman attracting most of the attention, Janssen also stood out as Gretna made a run to the Class A state championship game in 2022. Janssen’s consistent play and dominance in the running game when they ran it allowed the Dragons to control the tempo almost every night last season. Janssen is a player to monitor closely this spring once word gets out on his ability.
Christian Jones | Omaha Westside | 6’4/210 LB *
On3 Digital Profile
– Jones was part of Omaha Westside’s state title winning team from 2022 after transferring from Omaha Burke. Already holding numerous Power 5 offers coming into his sophomore campaign, Jones finished with 41 tackles, five tackles for loss, and three sacks as well as seeing a little time on offense with a touchdown reception. Jones is most definitely one of the top prospects in the class in the state of Nebraska.

As a sophomore, the projected tight end caught 39 passes for 577 yards and five touchdowns. Loftin has a high ceiling and appears to still be growing. Garin Maley | Papillion-La Vista | 6’6/245 | OL
On3 Digital Profile
– Maley put together impressive tape as a sophomore as the Monarchs made a run to the state playoffs. Still growing, Maley shows good movement and has great tools. Maley is one to watch in the future for certain as Papillion-La Vista attempts to crack the preseason Top 10 in Class A. He moves well and has a frame that will put him on college radars.
Pierce Mooberry | Millard North | 6’4/200| DL
On3 Digital Profile
– One of a very talented 2025 class at Millard North, Mooberry contributed on both sides of the ball for the Mustangs in 2022. In an offense that doesn’t throw it much, Mooberry had 404 receiving yards and five scores. On defense, Mooberry finished with 45 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and four sacks. This is a prospect who will grow into his frame and be a force in the future. It appears Iowa State may have an early advantage.
Tyson Terry | Omaha North | 6’3/285 | DT *
On3 Digital Profile
– In all likelihood, Terry will be the top overall prospect from the state in this class with Power 5 offers coming into the 2022 season. With two years of fantastic tape under his belt, the Second Team All-State honoree finished with 54 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and four sacks as a sophomore in 2022. Some of the big boys of the recruiting world will likely be in on this talented lineman before his recruitment is all said and done. (Update: On June 9, Terry verbally committed to Nebraska)
Caden VerMaas | Millard North | 6’0/190 | ATH * (Committed to Nebraska)
On3 Digital Profile
– VerMaas was offered by Nebraska during his sophomore season. He was not hard to find on the field at Millard North, passing the eye test on multiple occasions. Expect to see a flurry of activity this spring for VerMaas, who finished with 786 total yards and nine touchdowns and also returned two punts for scores. On defense, VerMaas recorded 34 tackles and put together impressive tape. VerMaas likely projects as a safety in Lincoln, but is also a dangerous threat with the ball in his hands and could feature as a punt returner.
