In Class A, Gretna quarterback and Oklahoma State football commit Zane Flores is nine yards short of the Nebraska state record for career passing yardage. Flores, who is sitting with 8,442 yards, is chasing Papillion-La Vista signal caller Alex Ditoro. Ditoro threw for 8,451 career yards between 2010 and 2013.

Bellevue West junior wide receiver Isaiah McMorris is 124 yards short of the Class A and school record for receiving yards, held by CJ Johnson from 2013. McMorris has 1,240 yards to go along with 14 touchdowns. His touchdown mark is well short of the Class A and school record of 21 set by Jeff Martin in 2005.

Junior quarterback Daniel Kaelin of Bellevue West is 362 yards short of the single season passing record in Class A, set by Lincoln East and current North Alabama quarterback Noah Walters with 3,382 yards just last season in just 10 games.

Last week, Neligh-Oakdale quarterback Aiden Kuester set the Nebraska state total yardage record of 11,098, which was held by former Wood River athlete Scott Frost for 30 years. His team takes on Riverside in the Eight Man-2 quarterfinals this evening.
