Player of the Week

Colton Marsh | Grand Island | DB – Marsh intercepted three passes and returned a kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown to make it 17-7 with :06 remaining in the first half in a 31-21 victory over Omaha North. Marsh has put together an impressive season for the 6-2 Islanders, recording 71 tackles and picking off six passes. Grand Island forced six turnovers in the victory over North, intercepting five passes.

Mark Anderson | Bellevue East | WR – Anderson caught four passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns in a 55-14 loss to Papillion-LaVista South.

Cole Ballard | Elkhorn South | RB – Ballard rushed for five touchdowns, caught a touchdown pass from Carson Rauner, and returned a punt for a touchdown in a 55-14 win over Omaha Burke. Ballard has rushed for 25 touchdowns this season and has added four touchdown receptions for the unbeaten Storm. Ballard’s seven touchdowns tied a Class A record.

Dash Bauman | Lincoln East | RB – Bauman scored on a 98-yard touchdown run in a 38-0 win over Lincoln North Star.

Charmar Brown | Creighton Prep | RB – The North Dakota State verbal rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown in a 24-20 win over Papillion-LaVista. Brown has 1,111 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns this season for the Junior Jays.

Max Buettenback | Lincoln Southeast | RB – Buettenback’s performances have kept Lincoln Southeast in the playoff race, with a 55-14 victory over Omaha Bryan being no different. Buettenback rushed for 207 yards and four touchdowns in the win over Bryan, giving him 911 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on the season for the Knights.

Mason Chandler | Bellevue East | RB – Chandler threw for 290 yards and two touchdowns in a 55-14 loss to Papillion-LaVista South.

Jace Chrisman | Grand Island | RB/LB – Chrisman rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns in a 31-21 win over Omaha North. On defense, Chrisman recorded eight tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks for the Islanders.

Jaylen Davis | Omaha Benson | QB/DB – Davis threw for three touchdowns, ran for a score, and returned an interception for six points as the Bunnies downed Omaha Central, 33-13. Freshman Avry Davis caught a touchdown pass that covered 78 yards in the win for the Bunnies.

Brooks Eyler | Fremont | RB – Eyler rushed for 113 yards and four touchdowns on just seven carries as Fremont rounded out its season with a 55-32 win over Omaha Northwest.

Zane Flores | Gretna | QB – The Oklahoma State commit continued his trek towards the Nebraska career state passing record, completing 19 of 26 passes for 276 yards and six touchdowns. Blayke Moore and Caleb Schnell both caught a pair of touchdown passes from Flores in the win.

Andrew Flynn | Omaha Northwest | RB – Flynn rushed for two touchdowns and returned a kickoff for a touchdown in a 55-32 loss to Fremont.

Jaylen Lloyd | Omaha Westside | WR – Lloyd caught eight passes for 128 yards and a touchdown in a 41-34 overtime victory over Millard South.

Braelin Morton | Papillion-LaVista | ATH – Morton retuned a kickoff 78 yards for a touchdown and intercepted a pass in a 24-20 loss to Creighton Prep.

Cal Newell | Lincoln Southwest | RB – Newell rushed for a school record 268 yards and three touchdowns in a 27-23 loss to Millard West. Newell has rushed for 1,100 yards and 16 touchdowns this season for the 6-2 Silver Hawks.

Anthony Rezac | Omaha Westside | QB – In a 41-34 overtime win over Millard South, Rezac completed 19 of 26 passes for 283 yards and two touchdowns while picking up another 185 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Rezac has accounted for 22 touchdowns this season for 7-1 Westside.

Brody Peterson | Millard West | QB – Peterson threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 51 rushing yards in a 27-23 win over Lincoln Southwest.

Payton Prestito | Papillion-LaVista | RB – Prestito rushed for 183 yards and a touchdown in a 24-20 loss to Creighton Prep. Prestito has five 100-yard games this season and has rushed for 844 yards and six touchdowns.

Sam Schuler | Papillion-LaVista South | QB – Schuler threw for three touchdown passes and added a touchdown run in a 55-14 win over Bellevue East.

Caden VerMaas | Millard North | ATH – VerMaas returned two punts for a touchdown in the first quarter and added a touchdown run in a 69-0 win over South Sioux City.

Jackson Williams | Millard West | WR – In a 27-23 win over Lincoln Southwest, the junior caught seven passes for 184 yards and three touchdowns, including a 68-yard strike from Peterson with 1:13 remaining facing a 4th-and-5 to win the game.

Jeter Worthley | Lincoln East | QB – Worthley threw for three touchdowns in a 38-0 win over Lincoln North Star.
