Class A Top 10
No. 1 Gretna (7-0) 41, No. 9 Papillion-LaVista South (5-2) 27
– Oklahoma State commit Zane Flores ran for three scores in the first quarter as top-ranked Gretna got off to a fast start before holding on for its 13th straight victory. Flores opened the scoring on a 2-yard run with 7:35 remaining in the first quarter to get the Dragons on the scoreboard and followed it up with a 34-yard jaunt minutes later.
Papio South answered when Sam Schuler hit Royceon Skogerboe on a 53-yard touchdown pass with 10:35 left in the first half. At halftime, Gretna took a 27-6 advantage into the locker room.
The Titans came roaring back in the third quarter as Devyn Jones scored on an 11-yard touchdown run and snagged the two-point conversion pass to make it 27-14. Jones scored again from 12 yards out to cut the deficit to six points at 27-20 with 4:42 left before Korver Demma thwarted Papio South’s momentum with a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown with 2:37 left in the third quarter to give Gretna a 34-20 lead.
Demma then recovered a fumble to set up a 32-yard touchdown strike to Blayke Moore with 10:23 remaining to give Gretna a 21-point advantage.
Flores finished with 201 passing yards and rushed for 59 yards in the victory. Schuler threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns for Papio South, while Skogerboe finished with 132 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 10 catches.
No. 10 Millard South (4-3) 49 , Columbus (1-6) 7
– Millard South pulled away from a tight game in the second half to pick up the home victory over Columbus. Camden Kozeal threw for a pair of third quarter touchdown passes and added a touchdown as the Patriots stormed to a 37-7 lead after the third quarter after leading by just three points at halftime. Nolan Feller scored two second half touchdowns, including a 52-yard touchdown run with 7:32 left in the third quarter.
After recovering a fumble, Liam Blaser scored on a touchdown run to give Columbus a 7-0 lead with 7:34 remaining in the opening quarter. Millard South answered with a Simon McClannan field goal before Kozeal hit Lance Rucker on a 25-yard touchdown pass with 5:50 left before halftime to give the Patriots a 10-7 lead at intermission.
Class A
Lincoln East (4-3) 28, Lincoln High (3-4) 7
– Dash Bauman rushed for two touchdowns and returned an interception to end the third quarter to make it 21-7 as Lincoln East held off Lincoln High. The two were deadlocked at halftime after Bauman scored on a short touchdown run in the first quarter for Lincoln East and Julian Babahavnov‘s touchdown run for Lincoln High.
North Platte (4-3) 56, Lincoln Northeast (0-7) 7
– North Platte running back Brock Roblee rushed for two first quarter touchdowns to set the pace for the Bulldogs, who stormed to a 42-0 halftime lead. In the second quarter, Kolten Tilford, a South Dakota State pledge, rushed for a 20-yard touchdown to give North Platte a 28-0 lead with 8:37 before halftime. Roblee added a 10-yard touchdown for his third of the night for the Bulldogs in the rout.
Omaha South (3-4) 57, Omaha Northwest (0-7) 22
– Aric Thomas had 204 receiving yards and four touchdowns as Omaha South moved to 3-4 on the season with the victory. Omaha South led 57-6 at halftime.
Papillion-LaVista (4-3) 39 , Omaha Central (1-6) 14
– Tavien Pirtle threw for three touchdown passes as Papillion-LaVista claimed its fourth straight victory. Owen Bogacz reeled in two of Pirtle’s touchdown strikes for the Monarchs, while Payton Prestito and Braelin Morton added touchdown runs to pace the victors. Freshman quarterback B.J. Newsome threw for a touchdown for the Eagles, while Tayzhon Johnson added a touchdown run.

Beatrice (3-4) 42, Crete (2-5) 14
– Deegan Nelson rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns as Beatrice returned to the win column. Tadd TeBrink rushed for 99 yards and a score in a losing effort for Crete.

No. 5 Omaha Roncalli (6-1) 45 , Fort Calhoun (2-5) 21
– Wyatt Yetter rushed for five touchdowns, including four first half, as the Crimson Pride to rolled to a Thursday Night Lights win over Fort Calhoun. Brady McGill hit Caden Schafer on a 27-yard touchdown pass with 50 seconds left in the first half to give Roncalli a 38-0 lead at halftime.
