Class A Game of the Week: No. 7 Kearney (4-0) 35, No. 4 Bellevue West (3-2) 34
– Kearney blocked a point after attempt with less than two minutes to go, then scored on a 69-yard touchdown pass from Treyven Beckman to Zander Reuling with 40 seconds remaining to earn a 35-34 victory at Bellevue West. Beckman threw for 333 yards and three long touchdown passes in the victory for the Bearcats. Daniel Kaelin threw for 328 yards and two touchdowns, while Isaiah McMorris had 171 receiving yards and a touchdown on eight grabs for the Thunderbirds.

No. 6 Creighton Prep (2-3) 31, Millard West (1-3) 7
– Marty Brown continued his blistering start to the season by rushing for 150 yards and two more touchdowns in a comfortable victory over Millard West. Freshman quarterback Will Anderson threw for a touchdown in a losing effort for the Wildcats, while Brady Brau intercepted two passes in the first half in a tight game before the Junior Jays broke it open.
Lincoln East (2-2) 54, Lincoln Northeast (0-4) 0
– Sophomore quarterback Jeter Worthley threw for four touchdowns and added two more on the ground in an emphatic win for Top 10 ratings contender Lincoln East. Kamdyn Roebke caught two touchdown passes for the Spartans, while elite level prospect Malachi Coleman scored on a 43-yard touchdown pass from Worthley in the victory.
No. 2 Gretna (4-0) 49, No. 9 Millard South (1-3) 26
– Oklahoma State verbal Zane Flores threw for two touchdowns and added another on the ground as Gretna led 42-6 at one point in the victory. Isaiah Weber added a pair of rushing touchdowns for the Dragons. Millard South freshman Jett Thomalla threw for two scores in a losing effort for the Patriots, including one to fellow freshman Armarion Jackson.
No. 5 Omaha North (3-1) 42, Omaha Benson (2-2) 10
– Omaha North broke away from a tight game in the first half. Te’Shaun Porter rushed for 256 yards and four touchdowns, giving him three 200-yard games and 10 rushing touchdowns on the season for the No. 5 Vikings. Sophomore defensive tackle Tyson Terry had 4.5 tackles for loss and three sacks in the victory. Omaha Benson freshman Avry Davis returned a kickoff 94 yards for the Bunnies, who fall to 2-2 on the season.
No. 3 Elkhorn South (4-0) 49, Omaha Central (1-3) 7
– Cole Ballard continued to pile up impressive touchdown numbers with four more in a comfortable victory for No. 3 Elkhorn South. Ballard now has nine rushing touchdowns on the season for the Storm.
Papillion-LaVista (1-3) 35, Lincoln Southwest (3-1) 21
– Junior Tavien Pirtle threw for three touchdowns as Papillion-LaVista got into the win column for the first time in 2022 with a win over previously unbeaten Lincoln Southwest. Payton Prestito rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown, while Jordan Barrientos added 117 yards on the ground for the Monarchs. Cal Newell rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns to lead Lincoln Southwest.
Norfolk (2-1) 7, Fremont (1-3) 7 – DELAYED
– The game will resume at 4:00 pm on Friday with 10:54 remaining the fourth quarter with the score tied at 7 after a weather delay on Thursday night.
