Class A Game of the Week

No. 4 Elkhorn South 31, No. 6 Millard South 28
Cole Ballard rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns as Elkhorn South held off Millard South to pick up the victory. Junior Carson Rauner threw his fourth touchdown pass of the season in the victory. Brock Murtaugh, who replaced Camden Kozeal at quarterback due to his inclusion in the USA National Baseball Team, threw for 282 yards and three touchdowns.

Class B/C1/C2 Game of the Week

C2 No. 1 Norfolk Catholic 35, C2 No. 2 Ord 14
Karter Kerkman rushed for 128 yards and four first half touchdowns as Norfolk Catholic won on the road over second-ranked Ord. Dylan Hurlburt led Ord with a rushing and passing touchdown in a losing effort.

  1. Omaha Westside (2-0) – Defeated Grand Island, 37-13 – Anthony Rezac threw for a pair of touchdowns as Westside won on the road over No. 10 Grand Island. Jaylen Lloyd caught five passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns in the win for Westside.
  2. Gretna (2-0) – Defeated Omaha Central, 56-0 – Zane Flores threw completed 14-of-16 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns in one half of work in the rout over Omaha Central. Isaiah Weber accounted for three touchdowns, while Joe Roll paced the Dragons with a touchdown reception and a punt return for a score.
  3. Bellevue West (2-0) – Defeated Omaha Burke, 60-13 – Daniel Kaelin threw for five touchdowns and fellow junior Dae’Vonn Hall caught four scoring strikes from Kaelin a 60-13 victory over Omaha Burke.

  9. Papillion-LaVista South (3-0) – Defeated Papillion-LaVista South, 29-3 – Devyn Jones rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns as Papillion-LaVista South defeated its rival. Sam Schuler and Trace Marco hooked up on a touchdown pass for the Titans.

Kearney (2-0) – Defeated Fremont, 49-21 – Trayven Beckman threw for 224 yards and two touchdowns in a comfortable victory for the Bearcats.
Lincoln Southwest (2-0) – Defeated Columbus, 29-7 (Thurs.) – Collin Fritton accounted for 282 yards and rushed for two scores. Jack Baptista caught five passes for 169 yards to boost the Silver Hawks.
Millard North (1-1) – Lost to No. 7 Creighton Prep, 35-14 (Thurs.) – Evan Hansen threw for 190 yards and two touchdowns, with sophomore Caden VerMaas catching his second touchdown pass of the season for the Mustangs.

North Platte (0-2) – Defeated Class B No. 1 Scottsbluff, 21-14 – South Dakota State commit Kolten Tilford scored on 9-yard touchdown run with eight seconds remaining to pick up North Platte’s first win of the season. Tilford also caught a 32-yard touchdown pass from sophomore Caden Joneson.
