No . 1 Omaha Westside 24, No. 7 Creighton Prep 17
– Creighton Prep nearly pulled off a furious comeback falling short 24-17 after trailing 24-0 heading into the fourth quarter. Omaha Westside junior quarterback Anthony Rezac threw for 176 yards and two touchdowns while picking up another 124 tough yards on the ground. Power 5 prospect Jaylen Lloyd caught four passes for 103 yards and a touchdown to pace Westside. North Dakota State commit Charmar Brown was held to 78 yards in the loss, but rushed for a touchdown in the fourth quarter as the Junior Jays fell short on their comeback effort.

No. 3 Bellevue West 28, No. 5 Omaha North 26
– Bellevue West turned away a two-point conversion attempt to tie the game in the dying seconds to claim a 28-26 victory over No. 5 Omaha North. Gio Contreras rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns in the victory, while junior wide receiver Dae’Vonn Hall caught five passes for 123 yards in the win. Omaha North’s Te’Shaun Porter rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns before leaving the game with an injury.

No. 4 Elkhorn South 31, No. 8 Lincoln Southeast 20
– Junior quarterback Carson Rauner threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns as Elkhorn South turned away Lincoln Southeast. Jackson Moeller-Swan caught six passes for 181 yards for the Storm, while Cole Ballard scored a pair of touchdowns to pace Elkhorn South in the win. Lincoln Southeast quarterback Owen Baxter threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns in the loss for the Knights.

No. 6 Millard South 38, No. 10 Millard West 14
Camden Kozeal completed 22-of-34 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns as Millard South claimed the Battle of Q Street over rival Millard West, 38-14. Nolan Fenner added 118 rushing yards on 10 carries and a touchdown to pace the Patriots, while Kozeal added another 65 rushing yards and a touchdown as well as hitting Gavin Nunnally on two of this touchdown passes. Jackson Williams caught five passes for 164 yards and two touchdowns to lead Millard West.

No. 9 Papillion-LaVista South 35, Fremont 19
Devyn Jones continued his hot start to the season with 138 yards and two touchdowns to lead No. 9 Papillion-LaVista South to a 35-19 win on the road at Fremont. Junior Sam Schuler added a pair of touchdown strikes through the air for the Titans, who moved to 2-0 on the campaign. Hudson Cunnings had another gutsy performance for Fremont, finishing 323 total yards and throwing for a pair of touchdowns for the Tigers.

Bellevue East (1-0) 31, Lincoln Northeast (0-1) 21 – Bellevue East trailed 21-6 in this game before storming back to open its season with a victory.

Lincoln Southwest (1-0) 20, Lincoln High (0-1) 19 – Cal Newell rushed for two touchdowns as Colin Fritton’s 31-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter proved to be the game winner for the Silver Hawks.

Grand Island (1-0) 20, North Platte (0-2) 19 – Jace Chrisman rushed for three second half touchdowns to lead Grand Island on a comeback victory. Kolten Tilford rushed for 196 yards to lead North Platte, while Brock Roblee added another 119 yards and a touchdown for the Bulldogs.

Lincoln North Star (1-0) 27, Omaha Benson (0-1) 2 – Four different North Star players rushed for touchdowns in a game where the winners sprinted out to a 13-2 halftime lead and never looked back.

Millard North (1-0) 34, Papillion-LaVista (0-1) 31 (OT) – Millard North powered its way to 324 rushing yards and survived a 34-31 overtime victory over Papillion-LaVista. Evan Hansen rushed for two touchdowns for the Mustangs, while quarterback Charlie Quaintance rushed for a team-high 109 yards in the victory. Junior Payton Prestito rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Monarchs.
